Personality:

                Stubborn, bull-headed and rebellious , Giselle is easily irritated and easily offended . She is not afraid to take a beating…or give one out. Some people consider a bit sadistic because she sometimes will smile lightly or smirk during a fight, whether she is in it or not. Although most people say that she hates books but she does read secretly. She likes action/mystery with some romance. She secretive and paranoid. She doesn’t believe in happy endings or long lasting marriages. She says she never wants to get married. Secretly she can get super guilty but she doesn’t show it. She rarely apologizes. She is rude but observant and extremely sarcastic . She rolls her eyes, shoves her hands in her pockets and runs her hand through her hair when upset or nervous. She keeps her hair nice but likes it when people comb it, play with it and/or pull it lightly. It is very hard to get close to her or gain her trust but once you are in that circle, you have a very loyal and protective friend. Unless it is in a fight or something, she hates physical contact. Internally she fears that people will discover the scars on her wrists and ankles. Her way with most electronics is throwing them around the room or punching them. She knows the simplest form of search engines on the internet and writing up documents. On the other hand she can crush on videogames (fighting, military, fantasy war). She holds grudges like no other. She hasn’t even forgiven her mother.

Bio:

Her father, Raiden, was born between a Japanese father and a Chinese mother who moved to America. As he grew up, he joined the Navy. He was stationed in France where he met Giselle’s mother, Nicole, a model. He was being trained in the free running parkour by Nicole’s brother, Peirrick, who was working with the military. Raiden was there for a while but when he had to go back to America, he asked Nicole to marry him and go back to America with him. She agreed.

Eventually they had a child and named her Giselle. She was a cute little thing and although every parent says their child was cute, Giselle really was. She was granted her mother’s good looks and her father’s diamond hard (not literally) knuckles. At first she was a loud baby but when she started moving around with crawling and walking, she was very silent and sneaky. Raiden always wanted a kid and spoiled her rotten but still taught her respect. He initially wanted a son but he was just as happy with a daughter, especially with the kind of girl Giselle was. Giselle was a daddy’s girl. Despite being a girl, Giselle was more interested in guy things such as military, fishing and playing football (American). He taught her parkour, military techniques, boxing and a lot of other things. Her mother tried to get in on their special relationship but she simply could not. Giselle was relatively normal in Elementary school. She listened to the teacher, shushed other loud students but rarely played with dolls. She preferred animal figurines and ‘army mens’ as she called them even though Raiden eventually corrected her, calling them by Navy, Marine, or Coast Guard mens. She was a quick learner and despite refusing to read in class or when anyone was around, she would read a lot at home.

Things went wrong when Raiden’s brother, Kenji, was murdered. Raiden was a detective at the time, he had stopped being in the military sometime after Giselle was born. He grew obsessed with finding Kenji’s killer while his mother died from a broken heart and his father became clinically depressed. After a while, Nicole couldn’t handle it. Raiden was rarely home and when he was, he was staring at a murder board he had in his den. Lack of trust, faith and that obsessed with fact were all factors but what really put everything in place was the moment Giselle and found the murder board. After a messy divorce, the courts concluded Raiden was unfit to parent and gave Nicole full custody. Giselle was furious with her mother and did not see why this had to happen. He quit/was fired from (so pretty much they were about to fire him but he quit right before) the force. Giselle was allowed to have a last summer with her father where he spent it teaching her things and spending time with her even though he was always sort of distant, his eyes misty and his mind spacing out at times. She became distant from her school friends until they completely lost contact. When their time was up, her father rejoined the military and her mother took her to France.

Giselle started high school in France. She was in gymnastics and spent a lot of time with Nicole’s brother, Peirrick, who continued teaching her parkour. She became rebellious, often skipping school. She would vandalize places and got into a lot of fights, sometimes they were fights against bullies and other times they were meaningless. She did not have a lot of friends, people thought she was a little scary with her sass, snappy attitude and angry composure but there was one girl that stuck with her. Giselle found this odd since she did not have exactly the best friendly personality. She was heated, upset and started having bouts of depression and insomnia. That was when the self-harm started. She kept it secret and it was used as an outlet. The pain was kind of a relief for her. Her friend found out and they had a huge argument until Giselle said some terrible things. The girl left and she stopped even looking Giselle in the eye when at school. She did date a guy during the end of her time in France but it turned out to be simply a prank. After she found this out, she beat up the boy pretty bad so Nicole figured it was time to move on. Giselle used to sneak calls on her uncle’s phone to her father when in France. When her uncle found out, he kept her secret. When her mother found out, she moved them to Japan and forbid contact with Raiden.

Giselle wanted nothing to do with their move to Japan or the new school she was enrolled in, Rikuruto-Gakueng, but her mother paid a closer eye on her to make her actually go to school instead of ditch. As Giselle started attending the school, she kept her irritable persona, angry with the world. She had no intention of actually trying to make friends, she is just waiting for school to end for her so she can make one of two choices. One of them is to go find her father. The other isn’t so pleasant.

Extras:

                Mother makes her wear skirt for the uniform although Giselle hates it. She often takes off her tie when she gets out of the house.

                Broke her nose once. It is almost impossible to tell because her mother hired the best doctors to fix it. Only under careful observation and knowing it happened can someone see it, just barely.

                She constantly runs around doing parkour and has learned to evade law enforcement with ease. Sometimes she will parkour around some cops just to have them chase her and she’ll lose them. She has found this amusing and fun

                she likes feeding birds. After a run, she usually ends up in the park so she gets some bird seed, sits on a bench and feeds some birds. Sometimes she will get different kinds of bird food to attract other birds.

                Loves to write. She has written enough to fill up several books but no one has seen any of it. She writes fiction. She can also draw fairly well. Not realistically but cartoonish and semi-realistically. She draws her characters and would love to be an art student if she couldn’t join the military.

                Speaks fluent French, English and Japanese but only partial Chinese. Learning French was one of the few things she and her mother enjoyed doing together.

                Has worked very hard to have an American accent but she loves, loves, loves most accents, especially British, Scottish, Irish and Australian ones.

                She hates swimming with a certain passion. If she does swim, she is fully clothed with water shoes/something to cover her ankles and a long sleeve shirt.

                If she doesn’t wear non long sleeves, she puts on gloves that cover her wrists.

                Decent at rollerblading and skateboarding but she prefers running and parkour.

                Her boxing wraps are extra-long to make a round around her wrist. She wears sweatpants at home/dorm. Wears yoga pants, leggings or shorts when she runs.

                Will sometimes practice parkour barefoot. Sometimes, when her feet ache, she soaks them.

                She likes cop and spy shows, especially Castle, Bones and NCIS: LA. Sometimes she will watch Arrow or when in a particular dark mood she’ll watch Daredevil. She likes American TV shows, well, American a lot of things. She considers herself solely an American citizen. She wears a lot of American shirts around so most people think she is a tourist. She also wears a lot of Parkour wear. She likes French and Japanese movies but her favorite is B13.

                Has an IPOD but she only uses it for music. She loves loud music. Her father used to listen to some pop/modern and quite a bit of Christian music. Loves the credits song at the end of the movie B13. She loves Imagine Dragons, Mandisa, Fireflight….others…Messenger strap backpack across the shoulder and chest.

                Used to have a horse in the U.S. She ran speed but her mother sold the horse when they moved after the divorce.

                Writes letters to her father but doesn’t send them. She has a diary.
